ON THE WAY OF INNOVATIVE PROGRESS. EXPERIENCE OF BINARY LESSONS FOR STUDENTS WITH HEARING DISORDERS
Abstract
The research search for modern pedagogy (deaf pedagogy) in the context of the New Ukrainian School is experiencing a period of rethinking approaches, gradually abandoning established views and traditions. The desire of modern pedagogical masters to improve the pedagogical, integrated, sign bilingual process determined a positive trend in the development of binary lessons. The aim of the article: to present the methodological principles of conducting a binary lesson by a sign language teacher and a subject teacher in special institutions for students with hearing disorders. Results of the article. The essence of the binary lesson consists in the construction of the educational process by two subject specialists and was considered by both foreign and Ukrainian researchers as a phenomenon of fundamental sciences, the integration of education, which is the highest form of the embodiment of interdisciplinary connections at a new level of education. In the modern discourse of the New Ukrainian School, there is an innovative page of pedagogy (integrated courses of primary education). A binary lesson of "Ukrainian Sign Language" and any subject is such a coordinated form of organizing the educational, cognitive, communicative activities of students with hearing impairments under the leadership of two teachers, which is a continuation of the thematic classroom work and is aimed not only at improving subject competencies, but also creative communicative speech activity of students. Conclusions. Based on the analysis of foreign and Ukrainian sources on the research problem, it was established that teachers are more interested in the problem of organizing integrated education (binary lessons), differences from common education in inclusive classes and traditional education in special schools. Binary features are outlined: general (structure of the binary lesson, stages of implementation) and special ones related to the choice of the topic, definition of the goal, organizational and pedagogical conditions, planning, implementation, determination of the advantages of the binary lesson along with the traditional one, which meet the needs of students with hearing disorders simultaneously developing their communication in the forms of speech, cooperation, critical thinking, dialogical interaction.
