Рsychological correction of the emotional sphere in children with delayed mental development
Abstract
The authors make a theoretical analysis of the problem of developing the emotional sphere of
preschool children. On the basis of the experimental research, the features of the development
of the emotional sphere of children with delay in mental development were revealed and
its structural components – perceptual, cognitive, verbal and expressive - were determined.
Psychological and pedagogical conditions have been formed and a program for the formation
of the emotional sphere in older preschool children with mental development delay has been
developed, which contains three stages (preparatory, basic, fixing) and directions of psychocorrective
work on forming the emotional sphere in preschool children with delay in mental
development.
The effectiveness of the program of forming the emotional sphere, which led to qualitative
shifts in the development of all components of the emotional sphere of preschool children
with a delayed mental development of the experimental group in comparison with the control
group, has been proven, which is statistically confirmed.
