Сonceptual bases of studying speech activity from the position of psycholinguistic approach
Abstract
The article traces the parallelism of the scientific basis for the speech activity study in the
speech therapy and psycholinguistics, proposes comparative definitions of language, speech
and speech activity, discusses linguistic, psychological and psycholinguistic approaches to the
interpretation of the concept of speech activity (the subject’s need, motive, sublime purpose,
tasks, formation of internal program, semantic perception of expression), the most widespread
theories of speech activity are analyzed (L. Vigotssky, M. Zhinkin, I. Zimnya, O. Leontiev,
O. Luria, C. Osgood, E. Sobotovich), the emphasis is based on the psycholinguistic approach
as a leading research tool in the speech therapy in the field of diagnosis, prevention and
overcoming speech disorders in individuals of different age groups.
