SOCIALIZATION AS THE GOAL OF IMPLEMENTING THE PRINCIPLE OF CONSCIOUSNESS IN THE EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES OF SCHOOLCHILDREN WITH MENTAL DISORDERS
Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of socialization of schoolchildren with mental disorders in the aspect of the implementation of the principle of consciousness. It is noted that the outlined problem is relevant, especially for schoolchildren of the specified category, since they have significant difficulties in terms of their inclusion in a new social community, and the successful course of the socialization process can occur by creating favorable psychological and pedagogical conditions. It is also worth emphasizing that for schoolchildren with mental disorders, the priority remains the task of enhancing the effectiveness of their socialization by pedagogical means of implementing the principle of consciousness in education (or consciousness of learning and upbringing, consciousness and activity). The problem of conscious activity of a person is considered one of the most important, but still insufficiently researched in special psychological and pedagogical science.
Despite the importance of the problem of using the principle of consciousness to ensure the socialization of the younger generation, the pedagogical aspects of its implementation in relation to schoolchildren with mental disorders in the process of the educational work system - the use of its content, methodology, and organizational forms - remain insufficiently researched. It is also important to emphasize that one of the conditions for the socialization process of schoolchildren with mental disorders is the formation of conscious educational activity in them, that is, the ability to meaningfully organize their activities and achieve the goals set. It is the implementation of the didactic principle of consciousness that will help prevent the emergence of formalism of knowledge in them, strengthen their assimilation and practical implementation. By adhering to the system of pedagogical conditions for implementing the principle of consciousness, schoolchildren have the opportunity to become more independent in meeting their own needs and performing both educational and everyday tasks without outside support, relying on their own individual capabilities and development prospects. In this sense, ensuring the implementation of the principle of consciousness in the education of the younger generation, namely schoolchildren with mental disorders, will contribute to their social development and successful socialization.
