Policy on the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

General principles

Our journal follows the recommendations of STM (the International Association of Scientific, Technical and Medical Publishers) and EASE (the European Association of Science Editors) regarding the use of artificial intelligence in scholarly publications.

Key restrictions

Prohibition on AI-generated conclusions: The use of AI tools for developing, formulating, or interpreting the results and conclusions of a study is strictly prohibited. All scientific reasoning and the final synthesis must be the result exclusively of human intellectual work.

Authors’ responsibility: Authors bear full responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of their work. AI may not be listed as an author or co-author of an article.

Mandatory disclosure (Disclaimer)

Authors must provide a clear disclaimer if any AI tools or AI-assisted technologies were used in preparing the manuscript (for example, for language editing, data visualization, or literature search).

Disclosure requirement: If AI was used, a separate section titled “Declaration on the Use of AI” must be added before the reference list, indicating the name of the tool and the nature of its use.
