The development of a network of preschool education institutions for children with hearing impairments

Abstract

The article analyzes the system of preschool training of children with hearing impairments, outlines the
current state and existing problems in providing correctional and developmental support to preschool
children with hearing impairments; Perspective innovations in the development of special educational
institutions within the framework of educational reforms in Ukraine are characterized (according to the
materials of discussion with teachers). Criteria for analysis determine: the content of education (issues of
educational programs, the feasibility of creating special programs for children with hearing impairments,
what should be the specifics), categories of special educational needs of pupils / students (only children
with hearing impairments, children with other special needs); the level of complete general secondary
education: basic secondary education, specialized secondary education (for teachers of special schools, NRC); specifics of support (features of correctional and developmental component, list of courses,
compulsory for all, features of correctional and developmental work for pupils / students of different
age groups); own criterion, important for assessing changes (a parameter that respondents chose
themselves). Emphasis is placed on the need for variability of the standard curriculum and educational
programs, differentiation of the content of education, taking into account the individual educational needs
of pupils (students), the possibility of individual adaptation of the program. determining the individual
trajectory of development and learning. In fact, we are talking about “levels of support” in the educational
process - an approach that is currently being actively developed for the national education system for
children with special educational needs.
