PEDAGOGICAL CONDITIONS FOR THE FORMATION OF THE ETHICAL COMPETENCE OF A EDUCATOR OF THE DEAF
Abstract
The article reveals the essence and main aspects of pedagogical conditions for the formation of the ethical competence of a teacher of the deaf in the modern educational space. The main problems associated with the development of the basic competencies that a specialist should possess during work and accompanying children with hearing impairment in a general secondary education institution are identified. The author notes that one of the key competencies that a teacher of the deaf should possess is ethical, and it is this that has priority. It acts as an indicator and, at the same time, the result of the professional and personal readiness of a deaf teacher to work with children with hearing impairment in an educational institution, since the performance of any pedagogical task always has a moral and ethical context. The author certifies that ethical competence, as a basic component of the professionalism of a teacher of the deaf, reflects his spirituality and morality, internal culture, the ability to make correct moral decisions and act in accordance with the norms of pedagogical ethics. Pedagogical tact is an important aspect of forming the ethical competence of a teacher of the deaf. Pedagogical tact is an important component of the moral culture of a teacher of the deaf, which includes the qualities of education, politeness and attitude towards teaching and education. This allows the teacher of the deaf to determine his attitude to professional duties and to the people with whom he comes in contact. Ethical competence determines the regulation of his actions, established in habits, traditions, principles of life and professional activity, mental states, actions, deeds and qualities, which ensures a conscious choice of ethical behavior.
The author claims that the reformation of Ukrainian society in the conditions of global integration, modernization of the education system, the growing role of ethnic cultural factors and national self-awareness contributes to the establishment of such values as freedom, responsibility, and respect for the individual. This leads to the introduction of humanistic approaches and technologies aimed at the development of the personality of the participants in the pedagogical process, in particular the teacher of the deaf, the activation of their creative abilities, the growth of erudition and culture.
