Abstract
One of the priority goals of modern speech therapy is to educate competent, highly qualified speech therapists to work with children with functional speech and language educational difficulties in an interdisciplinary context. The article deals with the issues of preparing future speech therapists for professional activity using teaching technology through research at H. S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University.
The aim of the research is to analyze and summarize the experience of implementing research-based learning in the process of training future speech therapists at H. S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University.
Learning through research contributes not only to the deepening of theoretical knowledge, but also to the development of critical thinking, practical skills, creative independence and professional competence. One of the ways to implement the chosen scientific approach is the technology of «direct influence», which includes the involvement of applicants in research activities within student research clubs, conferences, Skovoroda Hub, science weeks, conducting field trips at university departments, implementing domestic and international academic mobility programs, etc. An important experience that students gain at Skovoroda Hub classes is the opportunity to immerse themselves in the real atmosphere of the speech therapy process and see its stages, content and various interconnections (in terms of general psychophysical and, in particular, speech development).
The technology of «indirect influence» involves the modernization of the psychodidactic component of the university educational environment, in particular: changing the structure of studying academic disciplines, strengthening the biomedical component of training, widespread use of interactive teaching methods in education aimed at implementing a student-centered approach, implementation of individual educational and research tasks - projects, updating the content of educational components in accordance with the current results of research in the field of speech therapy. Thus, learning through research is an integral part of the training of future speech-language pathologists, which contributes to the formation of professional competencies and personal qualities necessary for successful professional activity. To overcome modern challenges, it is important to ensure the integration of research into the educational process, the development of research skills, the use of modern technologies and compliance with ethical standards.
