Abstract

Pedagogical teams of special educational institutions in the conditions of wartime challenges find solutions to teach and support students, implement actual changes in the organization of school space, quickly respond to changes in the situation, community needs, etc. In the conditions of the war, the role of special institutions in the education of children with hearing impairment, taking into account the personnel and material potential, definitely increases. New areas of work are being developed, relevant methods are being implemented, which causes such institutions to be in high demand. The purpose of the article is to highlight the urgent problems of organizing the work of special educational institutions for children with hearing impairments in the conditions of martial law in Ukraine, and to present the experience of the work of Khmelnytskyi special comprehensive school No. 33 in the conditions of war. Research methods: analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature on the research problem; analysis of regulatory documents; a method of studying and summarizing the practical experience of special educational institutions for children with hearing impairment; presentation of work experience of Khmelnytskyi special secondary school No. 33 in wartime conditions. The important issues of teaching children with hearing impairments in Ukraine, the challenges that have arisen due to the war, which must be taken into account when organizing education in martial law conditions (arrangement of a safe environment at school, shelter equipment, organization of face-to-face education, psychosocial support of students and parents, etc.) are outlined. and what are the advantages of special educational institutions for students with hearing impairments. The issue of improving the regulatory support for the education of children with hearing impairments, interdisciplinary cooperation of specialists, and the involvement of parents is presented.
