Abstract

In the conditions of war, the struggle of the Ukrainian people for freedom and independence, additional measures are necessary to preserve the mental (psychological) health of students, stabilize their psychological and emotional state, take into account the needs of each child, and clearly comply with modern legislative and scientific and pedagogical requirements for the organization of educational process Educators should work on solving socio-economic issues and creating comfortable conditions for learning and development of students in order to compensate for the consequences of the war. The relevance of the problem determines the purpose of the article: to outline the existing problems and determine recommendations for ensuring quality education, the necessary support for students with hearing impairments in the difficult conditions of war. The main research methods are defined as: theoretical analysis of literary sources and legal documents; summarizing the work experience of Khmelnytskyi special comprehensive school No. 33 in the conditions of the pandemic and the Russian-Ukrainian war (2022-2023). To fulfill the outlined tasks of the research, recommendations were determined for teachers who teach children with hearing impairments, taking into account socio-cultural and educational changes (elimination of barriers in learning and communication, bilingual education in combination with information and communication technologies, psychological support in war conditions, solving problems of temporarily displaced families in Ukraine and abroad). It is emphasized that the methodology of bilingualism provides for teachers of the deaf to be fluent in Ukrainian sign language, which sets appropriate requirements for the organization of training and professional development of teachers who teach children with hearing impairments. Practical advice and examples for solving the above-mentioned issues are given.
