SPEECH THERAPY SUPPORT FOR EARLY CHILDREN WITH SPEECH DISORDERS: FROM EARLY DETECTION TO COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT
Abstract
The article provides a scientific and theoretical justification for speech therapy support for young children with speech disorders as a component of the system of early intervention and comprehensive support for the child and family. The relevance of the study is due to the increase in the number of children with delayed speech development, communication disorders, difficulties in sensorimotor development and insufficiently formed prerequisites for speech, which requires timely identification of risks and early provision of professional assistance. It has been established that early age is a sensitive period for the formation of basic speech, cognitive and socio-communicative functions, and therefore the timely inclusion of a child in the speech therapy support program helps prevent secondary developmental disorders, reduce the degree of manifestation of speech difficulties and expand the possibilities of further social adaptation.
The study reveals the content of speech therapy support as a system of targeted, continuous, individualized and interdisciplinary care, which includes early detection of disorders, comprehensive diagnostics, determination of the child's educational and developmental needs, development of an individual trajectory of support and implementation of corrective and developmental measures. It is emphasized that speech therapy support is not limited to the correction of individual speech functions, but is aimed at forming the prerequisites for speech, developing communicative initiative, stimulating auditory perception, understanding speech, activating the dictionary, developing articulatory motor skills, non-verbal communication, subject-practical activity and emotional contact with an adult. It is determined that comprehensive support for young children with speech disorders should be implemented on the principles of individualization, functionality, accessibility, continuity and orientation to the needs of the child and family. The importance of using modern speech therapy technologies, sensory integration, game methods, alternative and supplementary communication, development of joint attention and interactive interaction as resources for stimulating early speech development is emphasized. It is proven that systematic speech therapy support within the framework of early intervention contributes to increasing speech activity, developing communicative competence, forming a positive experience of interaction and creates the prerequisites for the child's further successful inclusion in the educational space, socialization and harmonious personal development.
