MODERN APPROACHES TO THE FORMATION OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OF A PSYCHOLOGIST
Abstract
The article is devoted to a detailed analysis of modern approaches to the formation of professional competence of psychologists of special education institutions, emphasizing their significance in ensuring high-quality and ethical psychological practice. In the context of rapid social changes and growing demands on specialists in the field of mental health, the professional competence of psychologists of special education institutions is becoming a key factor in the effective work of psychologists. The article examines in detail various modern methods used to develop this competence and analyzes their effectiveness. Among them: a competency-based approach, which is the basis of modern psychological education and is focused on acquiring practical skills and knowledge; experiential learning, which promotes deeper assimilation of the material through practical activities and reflection; simulation technologies, which provide a safe environment for practicing clinical skills and receiving feedback; supervision, which is an important tool for professional development and support of psychologists of special education institutions at different stages of their careers; and continuous professional development, which ensures constant updating of knowledge and improvement of skills in accordance with modern requirements. Particular attention is paid to the integration of these approaches into the process of advanced training of psychologists of special education institutions, and the relevance of the study in the context of reforming the Ukrainian education system, which seeks to meet European and world standards in the field of psychological training, is highlighted. The article reveals the importance of further scientific research in the field of developing standardized and reliable tools for objectively assessing the level of professional competence of psychologists, which is necessary to ensure the quality of psychological services and protect the interests of society.
