MODERN CONCEPTS OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE VALUE-SENSE SPHERE OF ADOLESCENTS
Abstract
The article presents a comprehensive analysis of modern scientific approaches to understanding and developing the value-semantic sphere of adolescents as a key dimension of personal maturity formation amid contemporary social transformations. The main psychological and pedagogical concepts are considered, including existential-humanistic, axio-psychological, cognitive-value, sociocultural, and integrative approaches. These frameworks highlight various aspects of the formation of life meanings, moral self-consciousness, and internal behavioral regulators during adolescence – a sensitive period for identity development and the formation of personal values. Special attention is given to the development of the value-semantic sphere in adolescents with severe speech disorders. It is revealed that communication barriers, emotional instability, and cognitive difficulties significantly complicate the processes of meaning-making, self-determination, and self-concept formation. The article emphasizes the importance of a compensatory-developmental approach, which involves the use of non-ver bal means of self-expression (art, physical activity, creative tasks), as well as psychological and pedagogical support, adapted methods for developing emotional reflection and social interaction. The study synthesizes current theoretical positions on the formation of values in adolescence and outlines directions for further research, particularly regarding the needs of students with special educational needs. The necessity of creating a supportive educational environment and engaging adolescents in personally meaningful activities is underlined.
