CURRENT TRENDS IN DEVELOPING EDUCATIONAL MANUALS FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL SPEECH AND COMMUNICATION NEEDS

Abstract

The article highlights current trends and approaches to the development of educational manuals for children with special speech and language needs from the perspective of a psycholinguosynergetic approach, and presents examples of such materials within the contemporary speech-language educational environment. The structure of the manual and the system of practical tasks for correctional and developmental work with children experiencing difficulties in acquiring reading skills are described in detail, using the educational manual «Overcoming Reading Difficulties» as an example.

In addition, the article provides an overview of research findings presented in international sources, outlines effective strategies for overcoming reading disorders, and identifies prospects for further scientific research and the digitalization of existing educational and methodological resources, including the development of electronic applications and standalone digital manuals to enhance usability and accessibility.
