Abstract

The article reveals the possibilities of forming the social competence of junior schoolchildren. The concept
of «social competence», its component and level structure is revealed and characterized. Ways of formation
of social competence of junior schoolchildren in educational and upbringing activity are presented. The
results of the study of social competence of junior schoolchildren are analyzed. The author of the article
notes that one of the requirements of the new state educational standards of primary general education to
the personal results of mastering the basic educational program is the formation of skills of constructive
social interaction with peers and others, willingness to build their behavior according to accepted norms
and rules. actions, develop social competence. Lack of communication skills in childhood has a negative
effect on the further socialization of an adult. At the present stage of society there is a tendency to increase
the negative and destructive phenomena among the young population (cruelty, aggression, alienation,
which have their origins in preschool. Relevant to the study position of some scientists: In this regard,
because the opportunity to interact with a fairly broad social environment, becoming to some extent a
subject of self-development, appears not earlier than adolescence. approach to the practice of preschool
education reveals the contradiction between the modern tasks of education and upbringing of children
and the real possibilities of their quality implementation. age, cause special relevance to the problem
of forming social competence of students. The article considers the concept of socio-psychological
competence as the most important psychological component of culture and communication of junior
schoolchildren, which was studied by domestic psychologists. And also the problem of socialization in
collective and in what way the expert can help the child in social adaptation is opened.
